Mohammad Latif was born and raised in Pakistan where he led his family company for over a decade with operations that partnered with the textile industry in Asia, Europe and the United States. In addition to having been raised in an entrepreneurial family, Mohammad’s own life experiences have helped to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of the failures and successes involved in business and political life as well as the hard work necessary to continue moving forward regardless of past outcomes.
Mohammad immigrated to Windsor in the mid-90s and it has remained home as Mohammad’s mother, sisters and large extended family and friends are also settled in the ‘City of Roses’.
Mohammad has headed various business ventures including manufacturing of custom kitchens and cabinets as well as commercial printing and medical and diagnostic clinics. Mohammad and his wife, Dr. Shazia Latif, have two sons, both university students, who aim to enter medical school and follow in their mother’s footsteps.
Mohammad recognizes the economic difficulties that the people of Windsor face and this is a driving force in his desire to serve and represent Windsor-Tecumseh at Queen’s Park. In addition to economics, fight for improved energy policies to reduce Hydro bills, advocate for improved efficiency of hospital emergency rooms and ensure the safety and security of Windsor-Tecumseh and Ontario at large.
As a proud resident of Windsor-Tecumseh, I take great pleasure in helping the community I live in. This city has been a source of prosperity for my family and I, having given us the chance to grow and succeed.
I want future generations to have ample opportunity to live same kind of full lives right here in Windsor-Tecumseh that we have strived for ourselves. I will do everything I can to better connect and work with our diverse community, support newcomers, and help businesses thrive here in Windsor.
Please let me know how I can help you!
